65th Van Mahotsav 2014 in Gujarat at Khodaldham Kagwad – Date & Details
The 65th Van Mahotsav will be celebrated at Kagwad of the Rajkot this year. A celebration of nature, Van Mahotsav is the once a year tree-planting festival in the month of July. During this festival thousand of trees are planted all over India. In 1950, it was started by K. M. Munshi, the Union Minister for Agriculture and Food at that time. The state government will celebrate its 65th annual Van Mahotsav at Kagvad, approximate 60 km from the city, on July 31.
Leuva Patel samaj is building a wonderful temple of its community deity Khodal named Khodaldham at Kagvad. Minister of state for environment and forest, Govind Patel announced Van Mahotsav 2014 festival in Khodaldham Kagvad and then on Monday visited Kagvad where plantations are being complete ahead of the Van Mahotshav 2014.
