Aji Riverfront Development on Aji River Surrounding Aji Dam Rajkot
Aji River is one the main river of saurashtra Gujarat State. It is called life line of Rajkot City and separates Rajkot in east-west parts. There are four dams on Aji River. Water of them is being used for farming and drinking purposes. The downstream area of the dam is maintained by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation.
The Name Aji is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning mother. The Dam was built by the Government of Gujarat. The Dam built across Aji River, most important river of Saurashtra and also the main water source for entire city.
RMC is going to develop Aji river front at the cost of around Rs 200cr. According to Rajkot Municipal Corporation officials, they had made management about prospect plan of Aji River front progress in the city which passé through the city.
If all goes fine, the river will now get a fresh lease of life from the Rajkot Municipal Corporation in form of a riverfront project. RMC is responsible for completing of this project and main council and administrative committee will monitor the whole project.
Aji River Redevelopment Company that will look after all the development including assign of expert, trimming, construction of five water retaining structures across the river, catch the Sewage and laying of new sewer line similar to Aji river.
