Kirti Mandir was the house of the Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba. This place is located near the place where the Mahatma Gandhi was born. This place is now a small museum and also has a Gandhian library and a prayer hall in porbandar.

There are many famous places in Porbandar like Chowpatty Beach, Nehru Planetarium, Bharat Mandir, Barda Wildlife Sanctuary, Ramkrishna Ashram, Sudamapuri Temple and Sandipani Ashram.

It’s like small museum an exhibit of old photographs, some of his very few goods and a nice library of books either by him or relating to Gandhian philosophy and practice.

There are life size oil paintings of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba reserved side by side in the centre of Kirti Mandir. Gandhi wanted that he should not be made a God and so, keeping his wishes, flower wreath are not used.
