Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is a government backed Life insurance scheme in India. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9 May 2015 in Kolkata.
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of 330 excluding service tax, which is about 14% of the premium.
Period of Insurance, Annual : 1st June 2015 – 31st May 2016
PMJJBY Insurance Scheme 2015 will offer a renewable one year life cover of 2 lakh with an annual premium of 330.
