English Gujarati Dictionary launched in Braille by BPA Blind People’s Association Gujarat India
The Braille Press Association for Blind people has come about with new Oxford Braille Version Dictionary in English – Gujarati Dictionary. This dictionary will distribute in 26 schools and 10,000 Odd Study resource centers for Blind. The in charge of Braille Press F J Porwal said that other centres like Dehradun and Mumbai have turn up with Braille Dictionaries but they were in English to English Translation. They have decided something more for students that they have covered 70,000 more words.
The Executive Secretary of Blind People’s Association (BPA) said with this Braille Dictionary will help students to gain the new direction towards knowledge. In Ahmedabad tentatively translating Gujarati School Textbooks in to Braille and also released the new version for Baal Vishwakosh.
Though computers are not available to all Classes thus Braille is still the Primary to learn and it would be secure way to get job for students.
