The Sun Temple in Modhera in Mehsana Gujarat is a kind of a historical place in situated in Mehsana Gujarat. This temple is dedicated to God SUN(Surya). This temple is held on river bank of pushpavati which is 25 km away from Mehsana and 102 km from Ahmedabad. This temple has built in Solanki Dynasty by King Bhimdev. This temple is now under the archeological department of India.
This Sun Temple has beautiful and unique architecture. There are seprate three temples names as Surya Kund, Guda Mandap, Sabha Mandap. The Surya Kund is known as Ramakunda which is in the east of Sabhamandap. Sabhamandap is used to store the pure water. The organization has an amazing pattern with steps.
Sabhamandap which is the pillared hall the where some episodes of Mahabharata, Ramayan, Krishna Lila has done here. This temple is the most visited by people as well by touristors and foreigners. Sun Temple is an amazing place for picnic. It is like a picnic spot famous for architecture. This temple has the first ray of sun spotted on its architecture.
