Saurashtra University, Rajkot houses 28 special education departments. Saurashtra University Information of Rajkot came into existence in the year 1967 below the apt guidance of Mr. Dolar Rai Mankad who was the then Vice Chancellor.

Today around, Saurashtra University affiliates around 207 number of colleges located across the length and extent of Gujarat state. Covering a total of over 410 acres, the Saurashtra University possesses three PG hostels within its premises.
